Washing area: an organised kitchen

Washing area: an organised kitchen

How to make the workstation attractive and super efficient thanks to super accessorised sinks made in hard-wearing materials.

The sink is much more than a simple bowl in which you wash up crockery and cutlery. It constitutes a genuine multi-functional workstation. Each one of its components is devised and planned down to the smallest detail, to adapt and blend in with everything that surrounds it in terms of colour, material and quality, thus turning the kitchen into the most practical and comfortable place ever!

A multi-functional hub

Sinks need to guarantee not just a certain style and design, but also the utmost ergonomics along with maximum efficiency, making it possible to perform all tasks as simply as possible. In the Mia by Carlo Craccokitchen dedicated to fans of fine cuisine even at home, the washing area, just like the other operational stations, must guarantee superior performance levels. This explains the existence of the model with a top that slides over the sink and cooking area, an extremely useful accessory that increases the amount of workspace: all made of stainless steel, a hygienic and hard-wearing material that reflects the mood of professional compositions, thanks to strikingly simple silhouettes and quality materials, which concurrently make it fully functional.

The charm of stone

Aside from the functionality afforded, sinks also stand out for the materials used to make them. In this version of the LiberaMente kitchen, the washing area is in Pietra d’Iseo Ceppo Stoneware, just like the breakfast bench and cooking area, an extremely hard-wearing decorative stone with a bright, non-uniform neutral grey hue, to give rise to unprecedented compositions, which emphasise its elegance.

Sink and top: perfect integration

The sink can have one or more bowls, be inset or built-in. In the case of this model of the DeLinea kitchen, the sink is single bowl and semi-inset in the Calce Nero Stoneware top, to create a highly sophisticated look to match the Iron Grey matt lacquered finish of the composition. While in this version, the worktop in Calce Grigio Porcelain Stoneware, a pale shade that distinguishes the washing area with built-in sink, provides stark contrast with the darker hue of the cooking area in Calce Antracite porcelain stoneware, for a perfectly harmonious result.

Harmonious elements

The water area contributes towards creating a set of elements that match one another and offer the possibility of creating attractive solutions. Just like in this Qi composition, where the Cristalplant sink looks like a compact monobloc with a welcoming shape, simply resting on the Hono Elm laminate top, which replicates the expressive code of the white plastic containers, in keeping with the overall style of the kitchen.
